E3 09: CONTROLLER WALKTRHOUGH on Gametrailers.com

Scratch: The Ultimate DJ pre-E3 developer walkthrough trailer is featured on GameTrailers.  In the video Mike Rubinelli introduces the SCRATCH DECK and demos the realistic, touch sensitive turntable while highlighting the authentic MPC drum buttons and cross fader.  In addition to showing viewers the “finger drumming” technique, he also shows players that they are able to “crab scratch” given the proximity of the cross fader and MPC buttons.  Mike assures players that with these techniques, they can sound professional without being one.  He also notes that the SCRATCH DECK is a “great intro to becoming a DJ”.

Mike continues by detailing Genius’ relationship with Numark, pointing out that they are not simply putting their brand on the SCRATCH DECK, but they’ve diligently made the controller to “feel and sound like real gear” and gave it the “authentic look and performance” of a real turntable.
